Working Conditions
The preschool teacher will work in a classroom setting, with some time spent outdoors for play and other activities. They will work a typical 8-hour workday, with occasional evening or weekend events.
Physical Demands:
The preschool teacher will spend most of their workday on their feet, interacting with children and leading activities. They may need to lift and carry children or equipment, and must be able to bend, kneel, and sit on the floor.should be able to move around the preschool facility comfortably.

Description

The preschool teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. They will develop and implement a curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, while also fostering creativity, imagination, and a love of learning.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons that are aligned with the preschool's curriculum and state standards.
  • Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that supports young children's social and emotional development.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues and maintain regular communication with parents and guardians.
  • Observe and assess children's development and progress, and use this information to plan individualized learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and activities.
  • Attend professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a preschool setting.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
  • Organizational and time management skills to plan and implement a variety of activities and lessons.
